Hey, I just bought "Gulp, New Penny" shrimp lures thinking they would be good for freshwater fishing. Little did I know but they are used for saltwater. Will they work when I go freshwater fishing?

I aquired some fishing lures and noticed some had salt on them from fisighing in salt water but some didnt.Is there a way of cleaning/soaking off the salt ?

I fish on the upper Mississippi River and am curious if anyone else has tried these lighted lures. Some are called LED and other brands are called electronic. Some have replacable batteries and some don't. These lures are more expensive than "regular" fishing lures,but if they actually attract the fish into biting, they would be worth it. Thanks for any info.
